SUPPORT OLD TOWN HOT SPRINGS
Old Town Hot Springs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We’ve served as the Yampa Valley’s recreation center since 1935, all at no cost to the City or the County. No public tax dollars support our operations. Every donation we receive helps ensure that OTHS remains accessible and welcoming to all. Your generosity fuels our vision and supports essential programs for aquatics, fitness, health and wellness, and giving back to the valley we love through donations and scholarships.
CELEBRATING 90 YEARS WITH $90,000 MATCHING DONATION OPPORTUNITY
For 90 years, Old Town Hot Springs has been at the heart of life in Steamboat Springs. Generations have grown up here, learning to swim, connecting with family and friends, building strength, and creating memories in our healing waters. Throughout every decade, we’ve evolved to meet the needs of our growing community. From major renovations to expanding impactful programs, OTHS has grown alongside the valley we love, shaped by the people who call it home.
To honor this incredible 90-year milestone, an anonymous donor is matching every donation, dollar for dollar, up to $90K through the end of 2025. This means every gift you make is doubled. A $10 donation transforms into $20, $100 into $200, and $1,000 into an incredible $2,000! Every donation, no matter the size, becomes more powerful with this match.
All donations support essential programs for aquatics, fitness, health and wellness, preserving our historic facility, and supporting our community through donations and scholarships.
GIVING SEASON FAQS
Is there a match limit?
Our anonymous donor has committed to match every donation through December 31, 2025, up until we raise $90,000 from our supporters.
If I give now, does it go toward CO Gives Day too?
All donations through our website are synced with the CO Gives platform, so any gifts that come in now through CO Gives Day go towards our 90th Anniversary Match AND CO Gives Day event!
How can I give?
Effortless giving that works best for you! Through our donation form below, or ColoradoGives.org, you can support OTHS using the payment method you prefer: credit card, bank transfer, PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. You can also donate through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), IRA Charitable Distribution, or Stock through ColoradoGives.org. *Please note OTHS accepts checks and cash, which apply to the $90K match, however, these donations will not apply to CO Gives Day event Incentive Funds.
Why donate through CO Gives?
ColoradoGives.org offers many incentives for nonprofits to earn during the giving season, including:
• $1M+ Incentive Fund – Every donation made and processed during the Colorado Gives Day event (Nov. 1- Dec. 9) is boosted by one of the largest Incentive Funds in the country! Each nonprofit receives a share of the fund proportional to the amount they raise, helping maximize every gift. So, if we raise 10%, we get 10% of the Incentive Fund. In 2024 $54.8 million was raised by 95,000 donors, impacting 4,284 nonprofits in Colorado.
• FirstBank Prizes – Over $100,000 in prize opportunities for nonprofits to win during Colorado Gives Day. Learn More
• $250K New Recurring Match Prize – All new monthly gifts set up Nov. 1–Dec. 9 will be matched by Colorado Gives Foundation up to $100, with $250K available across all nonprofits. Learn More

OUR 2025 IMPACT
With your support, we had a significant impact on our community last year. Read all about our work in our 2024 Impact Report and some highlights from this year below.
So far this year, OTHS invested over $247K in community support, expanding access to health and wellness for 6,052 individuals. Scholarship awards rose nearly 93% (397 total), and partnerships with local nonprofits grew by 18% (106 total), allowing us to reduce barriers and uplift more families across the Yampa Valley.
More children learned to swim at OTHS this year than ever before, with 3,272 swim lessons to date. With lesson participation more than doubling, a rapidly growing swim team, and 73 newly trained lifeguards, our aquatics team is building water safety skills to benefit everyone in our valley.
Fitness participation surged, with over 91,000 class visits and nearly 5,000 classes offered. With eight free programs and 158 donated classes/spaces, we continue to make movement accessible for all.
352,000+ member check-ins highlight the vital role OTHS plays in daily community life. From childcare to senior support, our team works to create a welcoming experience for all who walk through our doors.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM
We are deeply committed to uplifting the community that has always been at the heart of who we are. Our Community Support Program exists to further our mission and ensure that all members, regardless of financial status or circumstance, have access to quality health and wellness opportunities. Individuals and nonprofits are supported regularly through grants, scholarships, and donations. This includes free access to the facility and facility rentals, as well as providing free or discounted programming such as swim lessons and fitness instructions for our nonprofit partners and their clients.

The gym has allowed me to push my limits, build resilience, and work on becoming stronger. To me the gym is more than a physical place; It’s where I find motivation and confidence that I carry. Especially during mountain biking. The gym has helped me break mental barriers I may put on myself allowing me to feel strong in my own skin.
We love the amazing wellness program that we have been able to run in cooperation with OTHS for the last few years. This support has provided an opportunity for individuals with lifelong disabilities to feel comfortable in the environment at OTHS, learn basic workout routines, learn the machines, and have a wonderful soak afterwards. The goal is that one day the clients will feel comfortable enough and have the skills to come and work out on their own to stay healthy. The program has already graduated two individuals who now love working out weekly on their own! I hope everyone at OTHS knows what a foundation of this community you are.
Swim Lesson & Swim Team Scholarship Opportunities
We are proud to be the only public swimming facility in Routt County, and in a community surrounded by rushing rivers and alpine lakes, access to water safety and swimming instruction is essential. Our Swim Scholarship ensures that all children, regardless of income or life circumstances, have the opportunity to learn to swim and participate in the Steamboat Springs Swim Team.
When making a donation, please specify if you would like your gift to support the SSST or Swim Lesson Scholarship Fund.
