Our Non-Profit Mission: Old Town Hot Springs is the non-profit center for health and wellness, providing recreation and education in aquatics and fitness for our members, guests, and community. Working together with the gift of our mineral springs, we promote Family, Fitness, Community, and Fun.

Position Overview: This key role will take ownership of all marketing and communications for Old Town Hot Springs (OTHS) and ensure that all initiatives support this organization’s mission and strategic plan. It is a chance to design, implement, and manage a results-focused marketing plan that will attract, cultivate and sustain member, visitor, and community support.

The goal of all marketing and communication functions will be to develop a strong brand and image to define OTHS as a 501©3 non-profit, a valuable community amenity. This position interacts with all staff members, the board of directors, the membership, and the community.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Creating, managing, and measuring the success of yearly multi-channel marketing and communications plans that promote the brand, impact, and mission – the plan can include print and digital advertising, radio, website, e-newsletters (internal and external), in-home mailers, social media, digital and print signage, and events.
  • Performing market research to better identify target audiences and needs.
  • Creating compelling content for social media, blogs, advertising, website, and email that emphasizes mission while educating and attracting members, guests, and the community to OTHS services.
  • Maintaining an accurate website that is a point of reference for members, guests, staff, and community through timely updates and SEO. Utilizing WordPress. 
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive marketing and communication plan for OTHS’s capital campaign, including donor communications, advertising, and events.
  • Coordinating ongoing photographs of all our activities and keeping an organized archive of them.
  • Working with all department heads on events and programs and helping to coordinate their successful outcomes.
  • Collecting data to improve the quality and effectiveness of marketing initiatives continually. 
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal staff, members, guests, and the community at large.
  • Participating in general community/public relations activities to inform and educate the public about OTHS. Outreach to businesses, media, non-profits, and all other community groups.
  • Work closely with the operations director, the executive director, and board members to ensure that all OTHS initiatives support Old Town Hot Springs’ strategic plan and mission, vision, and values.

Budgeting Responsibilities:

  • Creating an annual budget to achieve marketing/communication goals every November and monitoring throughout the year.
  • Participate in the facility budgeting process annually.

Position Requirements:

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, marketing, public relations, or similar.
  • 3-5 years of marketing and communications experience with demonstrated success.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to create collateral through Adobe products or Canva; or strong experience working with freelance graphic designers or a design agency.
  • Experience with website CMS, preferably WordPress.
  • Experience with posting and managing social media platforms.
  • Experience with email marketing software such as Constant Contact or Mailchimp.
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with photography and videography.

Other Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for varied audiences.
  • Highly motivated and creative individual with a “can-do” attitude; a self-starter who will take initiative to meet and exceed established goals.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization, including Board of Directors, Management team, and staff members.
  • Proven experience in developing a marketing strategy, and experience with advertising and public relations.

Facility Manager

Position Overview:
The Facilities Manager assists the Facilities Director in insuring that our members and guests have an exceptional experience here at Old Town Hot Springs.  This position will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance and repair activities of all areas of the facility, as well as making sure that we maintain a safe and clean environment for everyone.  All activities performed will be in support of the Mission Statement and Goals of Old Town Hot Springs.

Essential Job Functions –

          Supervisory –

  • Supervise Maintenance staff, to include training, scheduling of shifts, and assigning tasks.
  • Supervise Housekeeping staff, to include training, scheduling and shifts and assigning tasks.
  • Generate reports from maintenance logs/check lists.
  • Interface with outside vendors.
  • Ordering of as needed supplies.
  • Insure a systematic approach to the facilities maintenance.
  • Able to be Safety minded at all times.
  • Respond to Staff and Guests in a positive manner.

          Building –

Position Requirements –

  • 5-10 years experience in Managing more than 10 staff
  • Be proficient with all common hand tools.
  • 5-10 years experience in maintenance-related field.
  • Have a general understanding of basic building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, door and window hardware, and related mechanical controls.
  • Have a high level of situational awareness, especially in regards to safe working practices.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to troubleshoot and recommend a course of action as required.
  • Able to display a calm and helpful attitude while dealing with members, quests, and fellow staff.
  • Able to work various schedules as needed, including opening and closing times, and weekends.
  • Have reliable transportation for all seasons.
  • Able to supervise Facilities employees.

Front Desk Attendant

This professional and active desk worker acts as a cashier, receptionist and performs excellent customer service.

The Front Desk Attendant greets and checks in a high volume of members and guests to the facility daily. They will operate the cashier stations, computers, and phone systems. Other tasks such as scheduling massages and signing up members for classes are conducted daily. Strong communication skills and experience working with the public are necessary.
