Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise the Aquatics Director, Fitness Director, and Program Manager.

Qualifications:

- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and implement large-scale improvements.

Head Lifeguard (full-time)
Job Title: Head Lifeguard
Reports to: Aquatics Director
Job Overview:
Head Lifeguard is a full-time position responsible for scheduling, training, evaluation, and supervision of the lifeguard staff. They are also responsible for scheduling and conducting lifeguarding classes, regular lifeguard In-Service training, public CPR classes, and other aquatics training as needed to develop and maintain a professional and safe lifeguard team.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Provide direct supervision of the Lifeguard staff including:
o Scheduling lifeguards to accommodate pool needs, managing shift swaps, and personally (if-needed) covering callouts.
o Observing, evaluating, and coaching the lifeguard staff.
o Ensure that the lifeguards fairly and evenly enforce safety rules of the swimming pool to maintain a safe environment.
o Assist lifeguards with member and/or guest interactions to enforce safety rules or code of conduct.
o Develop, schedule, and conduct monthly In-service training for the lifeguard team.
o Scheduling and conducting Red Cross Lifeguard certification classes as needed throughout the year.
o Work regular lifeguard shifts as needed to fill the schedule and maintain a full-time workload. The Head Lifeguard is expected to meet and preferably exceed the duties and performance standards of the OTHS lifeguards in their charge.
• Maintain records of staff training, certifications, and incident documentation.
• Schedule and conduct public ARC First Aid/CPR/AED classes including submitting course record entries and managing class communication.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience/Certifications:
• Minimum one year (season) experience as a lifeguard.
• Current ARC Lifeguarding Certification. (or ability to renew previous certification within 30 days of hire)
• Current ARC Lifeguarding Instructor r.24 Certification (or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in working with seasonal employees and ability to build morale through teamwork.
• Able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
• Experience/familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and other industry related apps.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be a strong swimmer, physically able to rescue & remove a drowning or injured person from the water, meeting or exceeding the Red Cross Lifeguard certification standards.

Certification Requirements & Hiring Incentives:
- A valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification is required for this position.
- Uncertified applicants may be eligible for reimbursement of class registration costs upon successful completion of certification. (Please note: Certification courses are not provided by Old Town Hot Springs at this time.)
- Beginning 2/1/25: If you currently hold an American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification valid through June 2025, you may be eligible for a $350 hiring bonus, distributed as follows:
- $100 paid on your first paycheck
- $250 paid two months after your hire date, provided you have worked a minimum of 32 total hours during that period (averaging at least 4 hours per week)

Swim Instructor
Job Title: Swim Instructor
Position Overview: The Swim Instructor, following American Red Cross guidelines, provides individual and/or group lesson instruction to students 6 months old – adults.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise students during class time and be responsible for their safety.
- Provide students will the opportunity to learn swimming skills based upon ability level and American Red Cross standards.
- Provide specific and constructive feedback to students verbally and via end of session report cards to enhance learning and understanding.

Front Desk Manager
Job Summary:
The Front Desk Manager will work at the front desk greeting, assisting, and providing directions and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization. The Manager will provide strong leadership to the Guest Services Team and lead initiatives that improve customer service, sales and professionalism of the Front Desk team. The Manager, alongside the two Guest Service Directors, will lead in training staff, sales, and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Front Desk Operations:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner. Perform and assist staff with guest admission, sales, programming, and retail.
- Strive to create welcoming and helpful experiences for all customers. Consistently look for opportunities to create a customer service win and develop lifelong customer loyalty.
- Handle escalated guest concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Responsible for the operation & trouble shooting of the cashier stations, computers, and phone systems.
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, reservations, and payments.

Staff Management & Training:
- Manages the Front Desk Attendant’s schedule, assuring efficiency yet appropriate coverage at the Front Desk.
- Identifies training opportunities of Front Desk Attendants and coaches team to follow procedures accurately.
- Assist in monthly/quarterly 1:1 meetings with Front Desk team, which includes providing reviews and feedback, as well as performance management conversations.
- In partnership with Guest Services Directors, develops and implements ongoing staff training, including customer service initiatives.
- In partnership with the Guest Service Directors, recruits, screens, and interviews potential Front Desk Attendant applicants. Assists in the onboarding process and training.
Administrative & Process Management:
- Responsible for the ordering and stocking of Front Desk items such as passes, receipt paper, desk supplies, etc.
- Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and distributes items.
- Lead on incident documentation for the Front Desk.
- Act as subject matter expert of emergency protocols.
- Assist Guest Services Director with other initiatives as assigned.
Hours will vary based on Front Desk coverage, Guest Service Directors coverage, and seasonal demand but may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. A weekend schedule will be required.
Approx. 50% of hours will be spent at the Front Desk assisting members and guests, as well as providing on-the-go training and support to the team. The other 50% of hours will be on administrative duties such as managing the schedule, team communication, creating training materials, and ordering supplies. This ratio could change based on seasonal demands and staffing.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3–5-year customer service experience
- 1-3 years of leadership experience, hiring, managing, and evaluating employees
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.

Retail and Market Manager
Job Title: Retail and Market Manager
Reports To: Guest Services Director
Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Guest Services Director, the Market and Retail Manager is responsible for all Food, Beverage, and Retail activity at Old Town Hot Springs. The Market and Retail Manager will also spearhead hiring, training, and scheduling shifts for Market Attendants, monitoring, and ordering supplies. This important role in our organization will partner closely with the Guest Services Director to strategically grow the market and retail presence, drive increased visibility, customer engagement, and sales performance.
Market Responsibilities:
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train Market Attendants, as well as mentoring and coaching their performance.
• Train employees in consistent and high-quality Market preparation, with proper use of equipment and sanitization procedures.
• Takes the lead in ensuring a safe, secure, and sanitized work environment. Perform and ensure that daily and weekly general cleaning duties are completed.
• Schedule attendants to maintain the Market’s full hours of operation. Manage and adjust for missing shifts and demand.
• Monitor inventory and order essential product stock with awareness of COGS and budgets.
• Drive revenue by working to create new Market items based on health and wellness. Evaluate existing snacks and drinks to ensure appropriate pricing and value.
• Prepare and serve a variety of smoothies, protein shakes and specialty coffee and tea drinks to patrons and correctly customize orders as requested.
• Pull weekly reporting to evaluate sales and areas of opportunity, with a keen eye for efficiency.
• Ensure Market is properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Ensure proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
• Stock supplies and retail products, perform inventory management, and receive products as needed.
Retail Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of retail including research, ordering, stocking, inventory, and sales.
• Establish and nurture relationships with local and national vendors.
• Work closely with all department heads to keep retail inventory accurate and relevant.
• Monitor all retail areas. Keeping all areas organized, clean, and safe.
• Coach Market Attendants and Guest Service Specialists in retail area management.

Job Summary:
The Old Town Market at Old Town Hot Springs offers members and guests a fast, healthy dining option. We are seeking a Market Attendant to prepare and serve specialty smoothies, coffee, beverages, and select food items to members and guests.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares and serves a variety of smoothies, protein shakes and coffee to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested.
- Describes product details to customers.
- Receives and processes customer payments.
- Ensures customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
- Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
- Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
- Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
- Stocks supplies or retail products; may inventory, order, or receive products as directed.

Massage Therapist
Old Town Hot Springs is looking for Massage Therapists to join the Massage Team. The Massage Therapist will apply a range of massage techniques involving hands and fingers to relieve pain in muscles, soft tissues, and other parts of the body.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Consults with clients before massage to identify and evaluate areas requiring therapeutic treatment.
- Consults with clients to assess their expectations, and asks questions related to pain or discomfort and to learn and/or update their medical histories as necessary and appropriate to the scope of treatment.
- Performs requested or suggested massage techniques, that may include deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, sports massage, prenatal massage, myofascial release therapy, lymphatic drainage.
- Occasionally communicates with the patient throughout the massage to ensure comfort with pressure levels and techniques being applied.
- Provides a relaxing and safe environment for clients.
- Ensures smooth transitions between massage techniques.
- Demonstrates and educates clients on methods to soothe and strengthen targeted muscles and tissues at home; may provide reference materials or links to websites and videos for further guidance and instruction.
