Guest Services Director
Job Title: Guest Services DirectorΒ
Reports To: Operations Director
Position Overview:Β The Guest Services Director is a role that will join our current Guest Service Director as a team responsible for the entire OTHS member and guest experience, and customer service. This role will work with the other Guest Service Director to oversee daily visitor admission and the member experience but will be solely responsible for the oversight of specific department areas of Guest Service such as Massage and Childcare. This position will work on one weekend day and four other days of the week to be determined.
The responsibilities include organizing, directing, and coordinating the work of the Guest Service areas to maximize revenue and profit while attaining optimal guest satisfaction. The Director of Guest Services is also responsible for initiatives that drive and create value for members and guests, as well as responding to guestsβ requests and concerns and accommodating groups to ensure satisfaction and repeat business and member retention.
Essential Job Functions:
Lead Guest Services Teams
- Lead, influence, and encourage Guest Services staff through robust customer service training, clearly articulating expectations, and leading by example.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages development and growth among staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training.
- Review and seasonally adjust staffing levels to ensure operational needs and financial objectives are met.
- Collaborate effectively with other Guest Service Director to define responsibilities yet provide support and coverage to each other.
Maintaining Guest Services Goals
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards, and the expectations of the customers are met.
- Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish initiatives.
- Analyze performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve quality, and drive value.
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts, using superior negotiating and problem-solving skills.
- Quickly develop a strong working knowledge of the OTHS POS and Membership Management tool to solve complex membership errors and sales issues.
- Observe service behaviors among team and ensure appropriate training for the highest level of service.
- Serve as a leader in displaying outstanding hospitality skills and a positive example for guest relations. Maintains high visibility for guests and staff.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Stay up to date on all classes, programs, offerings, and closures across all departments to effectively communicate real-time information to members and guests.
- Provide communication and information to supervisor, peers, and staff in a timely and direct manner.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with cross-functional leaders, fostering open communication and collaboration.
Community Engagement
- Coordinate with local groups and non-profits to streamline and enhance their experience at OTHS.
- Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with the OTHS mission and goals.
Budget/Administrative Duties
- Monthly monitoring of payroll and departmental expenses and revenue to budget.
- Annual participation in budgeting process.
- Ensure compliance with employee regulations.
- Streamline systems and processes to result in a reduction in errors.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with special events, parties, fundraisers as needed.
Position Requirements:
Education, Training and Experience
- Bachelorβs Degree
- 5+ years of experience hiring, managing, and evaluating employees.
- 5+ years of customer service experience
- 3+ years of experience working with complex POS, Membership management tools, or CRM tools.

Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician is essential in ensuring that our members and guests have an exceptional experience here at Old Town Hot Springs.Β This position will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and repair activities of all areas of the facility, as well as making sure that we maintain a safe and clean environment for everyone.Β All activities performed will be in support of the Mission Statement and Goals of Old Town Hot Springs.

Lifeguard
Market Attendant
Job Summary:
The Old Town Market at Old Town Hot Springs offers members and guests a fast, healthy dining option. We are seeking aΒ Market AttendantΒ to prepare and serve specialty smoothies, coffee, beverages, and select food items to members and guests.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares and serves a variety of smoothies, protein shakes and coffee to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested.
- Describes product details to customers.
- Receives and processes customer payments.
- Ensures customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
- Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
- Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
- Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
- Stocks supplies or retail products; may inventory, order, or receive products as directed.

Swim Instructor
Job Title: Swim Instructor
Position Overview: The Swim Instructor, following American Red Cross guidelines, provides individual and/or group lesson instruction to students 6 months old β adults.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise students during class time and be responsible for their safety.
- Provide students will the opportunity to learn swimming skills based upon ability level and American Red Cross standards.
- Provide specific and constructive feedback to students verbally and via end of session report cards to enhance learning and understanding.

Front Desk Attendant
Job Summary:
The Front Desk Attendant will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization.
- Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.
- Accepts money in the form of cash, checks, and credit or debit cards for items purchased; validates checks.
- Scheduling massages and signing up members for classes
- Assists customers with questions or price discrepancies.
- Ensures accurate transactions by balancing cash register at the beginning and end of shift, and sales at the end of shift.
- Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments.
- Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.

Massage Therapist
Old Town Hot Springs is looking for Massage Therapists to join the Massage Team. The Massage Therapist will apply a range of massage techniques involving hands and fingers to relieve pain in muscles, soft tissues, and other parts of the body.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Consults with clients before massage to identify and evaluate areas requiring therapeutic treatment.
- Consults with clients to assess their expectations, and asks questions related to pain or discomfort and to learn and/or update their medical histories as necessary and appropriate to the scope of treatment.
- Performs requested or suggested massage techniques, that may include deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, sports massage, prenatal massage, myofascial release therapy, lymphatic drainage.
- Occasionally communicates with the patient throughout the massage to ensure comfort with pressure levels and techniques being applied.
- Provides a relaxing and safe environment for clients.
- Ensures smooth transitions between massage techniques.
- Demonstrates and educates clients on methods to soothe and strengthen targeted muscles and tissues at home; may provide reference materials or links to websites and videos for further guidance and instruction.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to correctly perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, and sports massage.
- Friendly and courteous demeanor, with ability to help patrons feel welcomed and relaxed.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of massage therapy training program through an approved school or apprenticeship program required. Coursework and clinical work minimum requirement to 650 total hours.
- Active licensure as a massage therapist required.
