Facility Manager

Position Overview:
The Facilities Manager assists the Facilities Director in insuring that our members and guests have an exceptional experience here at Old Town Hot Springs.  This position will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance and repair activities of all areas of the facility, as well as making sure that we maintain a safe and clean environment for everyone.  All activities performed will be in support of the Mission Statement and Goals of Old Town Hot Springs.

Essential Job Functions –

          Supervisory –

  • Supervise Maintenance staff, to include training, scheduling of shifts, and assigning tasks.
  • Supervise Housekeeping staff, to include training, scheduling and shifts and assigning tasks.
  • Generate reports from maintenance logs/check lists.
  • Interface with outside vendors.
  • Ordering of as needed supplies.
  • Insure a systematic approach to the facilities maintenance.
  • Able to be Safety minded at all times.
  • Respond to Staff and Guests in a positive manner.
  • Maintain proper appearance appropriate for the position.

          Building –

  • Basic Carpentry, Painting, and Drywall Repair.
  • Basic plumbing
  • HVAC troubleshooting.
  • Repair and maintenance of Fitness Equipment.
  • Alarm Panel response.
  • Coordinate outside service work with vendors

Pools –

  • Maintain mechanical systems.
  • Handle various chemicals safely.
  • Monitor and adjust pool chemistry, and maintain pool logs.
  • Maintain water flow for pool temperatures.
  • Inspect and repair water slide.
  • Operate pool vacuums.
  • Insure safety and cleanliness of pools, decks, and related equipment.
  • Supervise annual pool cleaning projects.

Grounds –

  • Ensuring all areas are safe and clean.
  • Landscaping.
  • Snow removal.
  • Concrete repair.
  • Painting

Miscellaneous –

  • Help with special events.
  • Understanding of computer programs and hardware.
  • Respond to emergencies.
  • Able to ensure security protocols are followed for Staff, guests, I.T.
  • Will share on-call duty for after-hours emergency response.
  • Help cover shifts for fellow employees.

Position Requirements –

  • 5-10 years experience in Managing more than 10 staff
  • Be proficient with all common hand tools.
  • 5-10 years experience in maintenance-related field.
  • Have a general understanding of basic building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, door and window hardware, and related mechanical controls.
  • Have a high level of situational awareness, especially in regards to safe working practices.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to troubleshoot and recommend a course of action as required.
  • Able to display a calm and helpful attitude while dealing with members, quests, and fellow staff.
  • Able to work various schedules as needed, including opening and closing times, and weekends.
  • Have reliable transportation for all seasons.
  • Able to supervise Facilities employees.
  • Ability to coordinate the work of outside vendors.
  • Able to lift 50 Lbs. and able to stand, walk and be active for more than 6 hours at a time.
  • Able to attain a professional pool certification (CPO or AFO).

Pay and Benefits –

  • Range $50,000-$60,000(based on background and experience)

Lifeguard

Front Desk Attendant

This professional and active desk worker acts as a cashier, receptionist and performs excellent customer service.

The Front Desk Attendant greets and checks in a high volume of members and guests to the facility daily. They will operate the cashier stations, computers, and phone systems. Other tasks such as: scheduling massages and signing up members for classes are conducted daily. Strong communication skills and experience working with the public necessary.

This position has flexible hours and comes with an Old Town Hot Springs membership. Full-Time, Part-Time, and Part-Time opener, 5:15am to 8:00am, Monday – Friday.

Housekeeper

The Housekeeper is essential in insuring that our members and guests have an exceptional experience here at Old Town Hot Springs. This position will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and repair activities of all areas of the facility, as well as making sure that we maintain a safe and clean environment for everyone.
