As the lap pool undergoes its transformation, we invite you to join us for a refreshing open-water swimming experience at Bald Eagle Lake courtesy of Native Excavating this summer! Whether you’re looking to improve your technique, enjoy a leisurely swim, or simply soak up the natural beauty of the lake, these open-water swim events are open to swimmers 18+ with moderate to advanced swimming capabilities.
When: Mondays from 5:30 – 7 PM July 8 – August 5
Where: Bald Eagle Lake, 35565 South Highway 40, Steamboat Springs, CO
Registration: These events are free for OTHS members and $29 for nonmembers. Sign-up is available 7 days in advance through the member and guest portal. Registration is required as space is limited. There is NO on-site registration available.
What to Expect: Lifeguards will be on site. OTHS will provide buoys to mark distances from the shoreline. Participants are invited to swim in the lake anytime between 5:30 and 7 p.m. Please check in with the OTHS team when you arrive. One porta-potty will be available for use.
What to Bring: Please come dressed to swim, as there are no changing facilities at the site. Bring water, there is no fresh water available on site. Bright-colored swimming caps will be available for use. Swim buoys such as these are recommended but not required. Please leave your pets at home.
