Water based exercise is one of the most effective and accessible ways to stay active. The natural resistance of water helps build strength while the buoyancy reduces impact on joints, making it an excellent option for people of all ages and fitness levels. At Old Town Hot Springs, our aquatic fitness classes offer a variety of ways to move, whether you are looking to improve strength and balance, build swimming skills, or enjoy a low impact workout in the water.
Below is a closer look at the water-based classes offered at Old Town Hot Springs.
H2O Deep
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 to 1:00 pm
H2O Deep takes place in the deep end of the pool and provides a dynamic water workout that focuses on core development, flexibility, and strength.
During the summer months, this class is held in our 80-degree lap pool. In the colder months, it moves to the 98-degree large hot pool for a warm and comfortable workout environment.
Participants use the resistance of the water to engage muscles and improve stability while enjoying the low impact benefits of aquatic exercise. This class is open to all and is especially popular among seniors.

Fit 4 Life
Monday through Friday from 7:00 to 7:45 am
Fit 4 Life is one of our most popular water-based classes, especially among our senior community. Held in the soothing waters of our hot springs pools, this 45-minute class offers a gentle yet effective workout.
The class focuses on improving strength, balance, stretching, and relaxation while using the natural support of the water. Buoyancy helps reduce stress on joints, making it a great option for those recovering from injury or looking for a lower impact way to stay active.
Everyone is welcome in this class, whether you are new to fitness or looking for a supportive environment to maintain mobility and strength.

Aqua Zumba

Aqua Zumba is fun for all ages as we take to the water with this Latin influenced dance/fitness class.

Aqua Zumba is a low-intensity workout that improves cardio as well as muscle tone.
