Humor for Well-Being: A Free Wellness Workshop
Thursday, December 4, at 6 pm
Join Jackie Michels for the next installment of the Women’s Free Wellness Series as we explore the surprising health benefits of laughter. In a world that often feels stressful and overwhelming, humor can be a powerful tool for resilience, connection, and emotional well-being.
Drawing from the bestselling book Humor, Seriously by Jennifer Aaker and Naomi Bagdonas and the popular Stanford Graduate School of Business course, this free seminar breaks down why laughter truly is medicine. When we laugh, our brains release hormones that help us relax, reduce stress, strengthen relationships, and boost overall health, much like exercise or meditation.
In this welcoming, lighthearted session, Jackie will share practical ways to bring more humor into daily life and create moments of joy that support body and mind.
Where: The Community Room at OTHS
Cost: This event is free and open to both members and guests, so grab a friend or your partner and join us for an evening of connection, education, and inspiration! No sign-up required.
